Bears fall at East Central, 2-1

The Southwest Bears dropped yet another close match Friday afternoon as they fell 2-1 to host East Central. The Bears return to action Tuesday with a scheduled 4:00 match against visiting Itawamba.
 
Chris Gomez scored an unassisted goal at 11:17 of the men's match to put Southwest up 1-0. Less than a minute later, at 12:53, East Central tied the score on a goal from Clint McGraw. The game seemed headed for an extra period until Will Thompson scored at 82:35 to give the hosts the victory.
