Terrence Cody enters his first season as assistant coach with the Bears. He will be in charge of the defensive linemen. Cody has found success as a defensive lineman on the junior college, four-year collegiate and national levels winning championships on all three.
A native of Fort Myers, Florida, Cody began his collegiate playing career at Mississippi Gulf Coast where he was named an NJCAA All-American First Team honoree and was a member of the NJCAA Co-National Championship Team.
After his playing career in Perkinston, Cody enrolled at the University of Alabama where he earned several accolades including a BCS National Championship, an SEC Championship, multiple All-American Awards, SEC First Team honors and was a finalist for the Bednarik and Lombardi Awards and the Nagurski Trophy.
Cody was a second-round pick (57th overall) by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons with the Ravens and was a part of the team that won Super Bowl XLVII in 2012 giving Cody his third national championship.
Following his playing career, Cody spent a season as a volunteer coach at Dora High School in Alabama.
Cody is the father of two daughters, Talia Cody and Kalia Cody.
