Dr. Shane Hinckley is in his first season as head coach of the Men’s Golf Team. Hinckley comes to Southwest after 10 seasons as volunteer golf coach at nearby Parklane Academy. In addition to his duties at Southwest, Hinckley will still practice chiropractic at his clinic in McComb.
Hinckley is no stranger to the sport, having nearly 40 years of experience in it including a Level 3 Golf Fitness Instructor Certification at the Titleist Performance Institute. In addition, he has experience as a caddy, working with the LPGA Tour as well as working for Hank Haney the former golf coach of Tiger Woods.
Hinckley, a United States Navy Veteran, attended Alvin Community College and finished his undergraduate studies at the University of North Florida. He received his Doctorate Degree from Texas Chiropractic College.
Hinckley and his wife, Dr. Marla Hinckley are the parents of two daughters, Hannah and Harper.
