Benji Embry is in his eighth year as the voice of Southwest Bear Athletics. He has over twenty years of experience as a seasoned sports announcer.
A McComb, MS native, Embry is a 2001 graduate of North Pike High School and a 2003 graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College. After leaving SMCC, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication.
He began his broadcasting career while he was in high school working part-time at Southwest Broadcasting in McComb. He began his full-time career there upon graduation from USM and currently serves as the morning show co-host on K106 FM.
He and his wife, Vickie, and their two children, Rebekah and Zack, make their home in McComb and are very active in their community.
