Nicole Daigle Cooper enters her fourth season as Head Coach of the Southwest Mississippi Community College Lady Bears soccer program. Her promotion to head coach followed a fruitful tenure as an assistant coach, where she helped foster academic and athletic success across both programs.

A graduate of Destrehan High School in Louisiana, Daigle Cooper began her collegiate career at Southwest, playing for the Lady Bears from 2013-15 and earning her Associate Degree in 2015. During that time, she served as team captain and was recognized as an All-State honoree. She continued her playing career at the University of the Southwest from 2015-17, captaining the Lady Mustangs to an RRAC Tournament appearance. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2017 and was awarded the NAIA Champions of Character Award for exemplifying the NAIA core values through her academic and athletic achievements.

In her first season as head coach, the Lady Bears posted a 3.34 team GPA while earning 11 NJCAA Academic Award honorees and 15 MACCC Academic All-Conference selections. In her second season, the team achieved a 3.51 GPA with 13 NJCAA Academic Award winners and four MACCC All-District Academic honors. In her third season, the Lady Bears posted a remarkable 3.63 team GPA and celebrated two MACCC Conference Award winners. Since arriving at Southwest, Daigle Cooper has also coached 4 Holbrook Award winners, recognizing outstanding academic excellence.

Daigle Cooper also earned a Master’s Degree from Delta State University in Human and Sports Performance. She is married to Assistant Coach Dalton Cooper, and together they have a son, Dallas Kane Cooper
