Tajae Anderson enters his first season as Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach. Even though this is his first coaching job on the collegiate level, he brings years of experience.
He comes to Summit following a run as a junior varsity coach at Godby High School in his hometown of Tallahassee, FL where he led his team to a 15-4 record and a JV City Championship.
Prior to that, he led Cobb Middle School (also in Tallahassee) to a 9-1 record and a City Championship in his first year.
Anderson’s coaching run in Tallahassee came following a successful playing career. He was a four-year starter in high school where he scored over 1,000 career points, earning First-Team All-Big Bend honors twice.
After high school, he enrolled at Baton Rouge Community College and played for the Bears during the 2017-18 season. He then transferred to Dodge Community College the following season before finishing up his undergrad at Columbia International University.
Following college, he played professionally for the Tallahassee SouthernKings in the TBL in 2021 before spending a season overseas, playing in the Cape Verde Basketball League.
