Southwest Mississippi Community College

Bryce Melton is in his first season as the Pitching Coach for the Bears. He comes to Summit after spending two seasons as a Graduate Assistant Pitching Coach with the Wisconsin Lutheran College baseball program. During his time at Wisconsin Lutheran, he earned his master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management.

A native of Bettendorf, Iowa, Melton was a four-year baseball letterman at Bettendorf High School and pitched one season for Kishwaukee Community College, a Division I junior college in Malta, Illinois.

Before attending Wisconsin Lutheran, Melton served as an On-Field Manager for the Iowa Hawkeyes baseball program, working closely with the pitching staff while earning his bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management.

Melton has four years of experience as a high school assistant coach and most recently served as the Pitching Coach for the Grand Lake Mariners in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League.
