Southwest Softball pitcher Allie Ladnier is signing with Spring Hill College to continue her academic and athletic career.

In 35 games her freshman year, Ladnier had a .304 batting average with 31 hits and 32 RBIs with 10 doubles and 1 homerun.

Ladnier also recorded 64 strikeouts in 18 pitching appearances her freshman year before sustaining a back injury.

So far through her sophomore season, Allie has a .326 batting average with 29 hits and 25 RBIs with 7 doubles and 8 homeruns.

Ladnier has been a force on the mound for the Lady Bears in her sophomore campaign.

With a 10-4 record so far, Allie has appeared in 21 games for Southwest in the 2026 season with 90 strikeouts.

"Going back home was a big thing. Also, I've always wanted to go there I just didn't choose the four-year route out of high school. I always felt like that was home," said Allie Ladnier when asked why she chose Spring Hill College.

"Being here [Southwest] taught me how to deal with adversity, especially being injured last year. Having to make it through my injury last year, being out halfway through the season then I was out for six and a half months. So, coming back from that and having the season that I'm having right now was a big thing," said Ladnier.

"Allie and I met her sophomore year in high school, and I knew she was special then. I felt like her upside was tremendous, and as you can see a healthy Allie and what she's able to do. I can't say enough about the kid, not only as a softball player but as a person, a Christian, and a young lady," said Allie's head coach Shea Johnson.
