Lady Bears' Talbot signs with Nicholls State

Southwest sophomore pitcher/2^nd baseman Corin Talbot has signed a scholarship to continue her athletic and academic career Nicholls State University.

"My dream was to always play Division 1 softball," said Talbot, a native of Houma, LA, "and I've learned a lot from my (time) here. But, the main thing is I've learned that I like to be home and Nicholls checks both those boxes being in my backyard."

In her freshman season with the Lady Bears, Talbot hit .324 at the plate with 44 hits, including 4 home runs and 24 runs batted in.

In the pitching circle, she struck out 110 batters in 103.2 innings and finished the campaign with a 7-12 mark and an earned run average of 3.94
