Ridgeland pair signs with Southwest baseball

Southwest head baseball coach picked up two players from Ridgeland High School recently with the signings of outfielder Andrew Hulbert and infielder Collin Carroll.

Hulbert batted .376 this season with seven doubles, four triples, two home runs and an on-base percentage of .495. He drove in 32 runs while scoring 29.

Carroll had a .415 average with 17 doubles and three homers. He drove in 28 runs while scoring 32 and had an on-base percentage of .538.

The two led Ridgeland to the 2011 5A state championship and a return trip to the playoffs in 2012.
